birthdays are most important

So whatever plans I did not have for Friday were cast aside when Mary moved her birthday party from Saturday to Friday night. There was no way I was going to miss that.

So I made a cake.


And abstained from alcohol.


The cake was very, very good.

Then Diana and I went out to dinner with Mary last night, which was Mary's actual birthday. We had us some cajun food. Crawfish. Hush puppies. Jambalaya and some homestyle bread pudding. Whoo! Long live Texas!
