I present:
A ClOUd and
a SUNShiNe
Cloud. For the first time ever in my life I let my car get so empty that it stopped in the middle of the road. Actually, I was right at the front of a turning lane, about to turn off of MacArthur onto Royal, from which I would turn onto the road where Jill and Kristin live. I was going to their apartment for a little birthday fete for Jill. Luckily, there are TWO turning lanes there, so people could go around me, AND, luckily, Josh, Sam and Lori were also going to Jill and Kristin's apartment, so they were able to rescue me. I now own a gas can. It's in the trunk.
Sunshine. I saw Mates of State live at the Granada Theatre last night. This is awesome for several reasons:
1. Mates of State are awesome, and I've been interested in seeing them live for some time. THEY ARE SO CUTE!
2. I was able to convince friends to come with me. They took my word for it.
3. The two bands that went before them were also both really fun. And awesome.
4. I now have a Mates of State shirt--and so do my friends.
5. I got to see them on the very same day that Shug was married and I thought about her and Paul as I watched Mates of State and admired their marriedness. How they would sing together and smile at each other and laugh at things between the two of them. That element alone was so good to see. They're perfect together, and they love each other, and I know that Shug and Paul have that, too. And they're married now!
How cool is that!
