writing about Thursday

I've never been to Austin. It's the state capitol--in case you didn't know that. And I had a chance to go see it. With a group of kids from the branch. For Independence Day.

Its a 3 hour drive, approximately. So we met at the church at 7:30 in the morning and took three cars down.

We went to the Capitol building. And the Museum of Texas History.

We played fribee in a park, but felt like we were too far away from the action.

So we moved our picnic onto this bridge where we could be close to the fireworks and the orchestra accompianing them. This turned out to be ideal. We had watermelon, potato salad, cookies and no fireants!

Plus, FIREWORKS!
