Happy 7 months, Baby

What a month this has been, Baby!

We've gone from rocking and rolling around on the playmat to FULL ON CRAWLING MODE!

And it is very clear that Enzo will not be stopping there, no sir! He tries his best daily to walk. He can pull himself up using furniture. He tries so hard to push himself up from his hands and feet to a standing position, but just can't make it work yet. It's a point of great frustration for him, we probably shouldn't talk about it.

If Mommy and Daddy thought they were tired before...oh man! We need to keep an eye on our boy at all times. Those little hands are constantly reaching out to explore over, under, around, and behind EVERYTHING. His favorite finds--and the things Mommy never lets him hang onto for long--are always: paper to crinkle, shoes, power cords and Skye!

In the meantime, we've been adding more foods to the kiddo's repertoire. Slowly. I know we're supposed to wait a few days between introducing new foods so that if there's a reaction you can be pretty sure what caused it. But I'm finding it to be a pretty slow process. I wish I could give him everything right now.

(this is oatmeal and prunes)

We're still on the lookout for teeth. Sometimes he gets really crabby and spends the day shoving his hands and anything else he can find into his mouth. And we think it must mean he's teething. But this has been going on for weeks and still no teeth. So...I'm not sure how long this might go on.

Another recent development is our kid's mastery of blowing raspberries. He's brilliant at it. I wish I had a video for you. He blows raspberries when he's playing, when he's about to eat and when he is very, very upset. It's this last one that really throws us. Let me tell you, a succession of raspberries really punctuates a tantrum. This occurs most often when he's very tired and we're taking too long putting together a bottle for him, or when he absolutely does not want to go into his carseat. And to his chagrin, Mommy and Daddy find it hilarious. But we do try to be sensitive.

In general, we just love and adore our baby boy. He is so much fun! And we can't wait to see what he'll lead us into next.
