Bill and his sister both participated in their first 5K Run this Saturday at the Rudolph Run up in Allen.
They've both been training for months, gearing up to run a half marathon in March 2012.
It turned out to be a cold, drizzly morning* for a run, but they both did very well! Bill finished 329th out of 872 participants and Shellie was just behind him (sorry, I don't know what her actual stats were.)
..And they're both so excited to run again soon!
*(BONUS, neither of them got sick from running out in the cold drizzle. I was VERY concerned about that. Being, as you know, something of a hypochondriac AND basing most of my ideas about health on old Italian wives' tales. "Keep your head covered; you'll get culpa d'aria!" "Where are your socks? you'll catch pnemonia!" But, as I reminded Bill, my grandmother is going strong at 92 so..I'm just sayin'!)
